Guidelines for Oral Presentation

You will probably wish to prepare some PowerPoint slides to support your presentation.

Prepare your slides as a PowerPoint file and email to APOA HULS 2023 Secretariat (sci@apoahuls.org) until the day before your presentation. We also recommend you to bring your presentation on a data stick or other portable memory device. If it is hard to submit your presentation materials until the day before your presentation, please visit Preview Room and submit your presentation materials at least two hours prior to the start of your session.

We recommend you DO NOT using your own laptop computer for your presentation to avoid problems with computer-projector compatibility. In the case you need to use your own laptop, please contact to Secretariat by email (sci@apoahuls.org).

Your Presentation Slides Should Include:

Fonts

The session computer will have the standard font sets. Please refrain from using custom or purchased fonts,
as these will not be available and may impact how your presentation looks. If you need to use custom or purchased fonts, please save your file with embedded fonts.

Aspect Ratio

The meeting will be utilizing 4:3 aspect ratio projectors in all rooms.

Video

If your presentation includes video, please let us know beforehand and bring the video even though you’ve embedded them in your slide presentation.

Presentation File Types

Session rooms will be equipped with a computer running Windows (not Mac).

Preview Room ( 205B, 2F, Conference Room North) • Visit Preview Room and test your presentation at least two hours prior to the start of your session. • If you find a mistake, you may submit a revision.
